Up in the forbidden part of the mountains
Lies a place fully enveloped in shadow
Which can only be found with a mind’s key
That needs to be kept away from the monster
Who lies in wait within the old stone ruins
And creeps through the noxious fog
The tempting part of the woods is guarded by fog
It blocks the adventurer’s view in the mountains
If they are so unlucky as to find the ruins
Then they must know that they are followed by shadow
Their greedy footsteps awaken the monster
Who now comes forth to take their key
What is most precious to both is the key
The adventurer was warned about the monster
But their mind has been tricked in the fog
They have been deceived by the mountains
What follows them is not their own shadow
As they come upon the base of the ruins
Oh poor adventurer who stumbles into the ruins
They barely hold onto their life-giving key
They’ve been tracked down by the shadow
They’re losing themselves in the hungry fog
Their soul is being claimed by the mountains
Now through the thicket approaches the monster
A growling snort of laughter comes from the monster
As it saunters into its domain in the ruins
Tracking them into its territory of the mountains
It has come to reclaim its rightful key
The barrow of spirits revives in the fog
Whose red dead eyes peer through the shadow
One by one the spirits come from the shadow
Approaching as they serve the monster
No one can hide now in the dissipating fog
As the undead attack the adventurer in the ruins
They’ve come to claim their master’s key
And trap another soul in the heart of the mountains
Poor soul in the mountains who ignored the shadow
They’ve lost their key to the lurking king monster
Their body lies in the ruins and their spirit ebbs with the fog.
