I'm A Teacher!?

This past week I opened my Patreon page where I'm offering weekly adult art classes!

I am really excited to start teaching. I personally believe that ANYONE can do art. I have met so many adults who have expressed to me that they've always wanted to learn how to draw or used to enjoy art in their childhood and stopped creating due to lack of support, means, or other life circumstances.

Since I began this website several years ago, I have been advocating for art accessibility and sustainability. There's a common misconception that art is an elitist and unreachable activity, but I know better. You can find affordable supplies. You can have your works featured in literary magazines. You just need to know where to look and where to present what you've made.

I'm here to provide that guidance. As a professional artist myself, I took art classes in my youth which shaped me in ways that I didn't even realize until I started putting together content for my own courses. I've been practicing my craft for so long that most things are second nature to me at this point. That's not to say I'm perfect, no one is perfect, but in terms of my own artistic comfort zone, I've treaded a path I love and constantly expand it, moving forth into uncharted territory to acquire more skills.

Sometimes it can be really intimidating trying to find out where to start learning a new passion. There's a wealth of information out there and a lot of capitalistic pressure to buy all the new, expensive, and "best" products. But I'm hoping to show my students that you can create art in your own way using supplies that are affordable and easy to find.
